My Courageous Moment

I am not the most courageous girl you will ever meet. But I do remember how I got over roller coasters. Two summers ago my family decided to go to California. Our family there loves amusement parks, so in the same week we went to Knotts Berry Farm and Disney Land! I was a complete chicken at Knotts Berry Farm, I couldn't even counquer the pony ride (it went extremely high and fast for a pony ride!). But when I went to Disney Land I tried something different. I thought to myself, instead of being the chicken waiting on the bench for the ride to be over, I decided to try one. Two words, bad idea. I was in tears, "Why did you let me do that?" But right when I stopped crying, I wanted to go on space mountain, then the ferris wheel, then thunder mountain. My fear was counquered.

Investigating the Past

The question I chose for my investigating the past blog is" How did early humans use art to express their prehistoric culture?"
Many early humans did not communicate through language alone.  So, many of them used art to help them communicate their feelings and express themselves.  They combined animal and plant resources to make paint to paint their open walls of their caves.  They depicted good events and bad ones too such as dead animals that represented successful hunting trips and some even had a hunting trip gone wrong.
Thankfully they did this because it gives us at least a glimpse into this prehistoric race and although we know little of the actual culture from that time we at least have these paintings that give us a small understanding to the culture of our ancient past.
